My trip to the Great Wall

　Last summer vacation, I went to the Great Wall with my mother.

　It was a nice day. We set out early in the morning. When we got to the foot of the Great Wall, I was surprised to see so many visitors, including lots of foreigners. We stood in line and waited for a long time. After nearly one hour, I took the first step to the Great Wall. I stood there, looking at the greatest wonder of the world. It looked like a huge dragon, lying on the top of the mountains.

　I touched the bricks of the old wall and felt excited. I couldn’t help thinking our ancient Chinese people were so clever and great that they built the longest wall of the world. After more than two thousand years, it is still so strong. I think it is made not only of stone, but also of the painstaking efforts of millions of ancient men. Today, we take pride in this great wonder. It has become the symbol of China.
