Mom: Really? Your father must be over the moon when he knows the good news.

　　over the moon是“欣喜若狂，高兴万分”的意思。遇到高兴的事，比如考试得了第一，或是自己支持的球队得了冠军，都可以用over the moon来表达兴奋的心情。
