Asia’s fastest man
Su Bingtian is a great sprinter1. He won the gold in the 100-meter final the National Games of the People’s Republic of China in Xi’an in 9.95 seconds.
He is the first Asian to run under 10 seconds! He is now Asia’s fastest man!
“I am always at my best. I was competing against myself, just like I did in Tokyo,” said Su.
Su became the first Chinese to reach the Olympic Men’s 100m Final. He finished sixth in the race with the time of 9.98 seconds. But he set a new Asian record in the semi-finals2 in 9.83 seconds. He showed the world that Asian people could run fast as well.
