Friend

When I am happy,

You laugh with me.

When I am angry,

You let me be.

When I am sad,

You dry my tears.

When I am scared,

You ease¹ my fears.

When I need your help,

You give me you all.

When I need to talk,

You always call.

When I need encouragement²,

You always come through³.

When I need your support,

You give me that too.

You are a great friend,

And I love you so.

I thought I should tell you that,

Just in case⁴ you didn’t know.
