Zhouzhuang—a beautiful town

　Zhouzhuang is an ancient town¹ in Kunshan, Suzhou. It is so beautiful that people see it as the “No. 1 Water Town in China”. It is famous for its waterways and running boats.

　But Zhouzhuang is not just about water. It also has many stone bridges² over the waterways. Among them, Twin Bridge, or Shuang Qiao in Chinese, is one of the most famous ones. It is made up of two bridges: Shide Bridge and Yongan Bridge. The two come in different shapes³, one round and the other square.

　Zhouzhuang is also famous for its ancient Chinese buildings. People built them about 900 years ago. Houses, restaurants and shops stand in the water. Visitors can enjoy delicious food and do shopping there.

　In Zhouzhuang, one can walk around the alleys⁴, take a boat ride on the water or visit historical houses. It is really a good place to relax and have fun.
