Smart education platform

　On March 28, China brought out a national smart education platform¹ to provide lots of public services².

　The platform, www.smartedu.cn, brings together China’s platforms for primary and middle school education, vocational education³ and higher education. It provides users with different kinds of courses and education services.

　Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng said the platform will help build an online classroom for teachers and students to use in the battle against COVID-19. The platform will also be used to support the “double reduction⁴” policy to ease the burden on students in compulsory education⁵, Huai said.
