On the way to my dream

Ladies and gentlemen,

It’s my great honor to be here to give you a speech about my dream. My dream is to be a teacher because teachers teach us not only the rich knowledge, but also how to be a man.

I make an effort to study hard so that I can achieve my dream in the near future. I know clearly that dreams can never come true without hard work. However, I find it is so difficult to achieve one’s dream. There are a large number of difficult tasks along the way. I once failed an important exam which made me so sad that I nearly lost the confidence. But my parents encouraged me to hold on to my dream and challenge myself with courage. My teachers always took the time to help me whenever I couldn’t understand anything. Because of them, I put in more effort and my exam scores doubled. Now, I am one of the top students in my grade. I know I get closer to my dream.

As the saying goes, failure is the mother of success. I find the key to success is to learn from your mistakes and never give up. I know I still have a lot to learn in order to achieve my dream earlier. I will continue to make progress step by step.
