The Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum in London, England, has one of the largest natural history collections in the world. It was first opened in 1881. At that time, it was called the British Museum of Natural History. The museum has many exhibits and collections about life on the earth and how the universe was formed. You can see thousands of specimens1 of plants and animals from all around the world. The most popular area of the museum is the dinosaur2 exhibit where life-sized skeletons3 and moving models of dinosaurs are on display.
The museum is also famous because of the research it does on different plants and animals and on how to identify and protect them. Many samples of plants and animals that existed long ago are also kept and studied at the museum.
