More twins than ever

　Are there twins¹ in your class? How about in your school or your neighbourhood? To most people, it seems that they have seen more and more twins around them in recent years. And guess what? It’s true! More twins are being born than ever before.

　According to one of the latest reports, about 1.6 million twins are born worldwide each year, with one in every 42 children being born a twin. Isn’t that interesting?

　Imagine this: If you become a teacher in ten years, teaching a class of 42, then you will probably have a twin in your class. And if you do, you will need to be sure that you know which is which. Otherwise, you might call out the wrong one by mistake!
