Acknowledgement

人们总是会向上帝许愿，希望自己的心愿达成。而当愿望实现之后，大部分人只顾着开心和庆祝，又有多少人还会记得去感谢呢？
A new soul1 arrived in Heaven and met St. Peter. St. Peter showed him around. They walked into a large workroom. There were many angels working there.
St. Peter stopped in front of the first table and said, “This is the Receiving Table. Here, all the calls to God are received.” The soul looked around, and all angels were busy writing down people’s calls on pieces of paper.
They walked on until they saw the second table, and St. Peter told he soul, “This is the Packaging and Delivery2 table. Here, all the wishes the people asked for are packed and delivered to the people on earth.” Angles working by this table were also very busy, because so many wishes had to be sent to earth.
Finally at the corner of the room, the soul stopped at the last table. To his surprise, he only saw one angel there, doing nothing. “This is the Acknowledging Table,” St. Peter told the soul.
“Is there no work here?” the soul asked.
“That’s the sad thing,” St. Peter answered. “After the people receive the wishes they asked for, very few of them send their acknowledgements back.”
“How do they send back their acknowledgements?’
“Easy,” St. Peter answered. “Just say, ‘Thank you, God.’”
