We all grow up hearing the same nursery rhymes(童谣) and stories. But what if they weren’t correct? The Amazing Maurice is one of these stories that will make you rethink fairy tales(童话).
Maurice is a very smart cat. He meets a group of rats who are even smarter than him. Then he thinks of an idea to make lots of money. He tricks(骗) people into paying him to take the rats out of town.
The movie comes from the 2001 book The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents by British author Terry Pratchett. The book is inspired by another famous story—in The Pied Piper of Hamlin(《哈默林的花衣吹笛人》), a man uses his pipes(笛子) to free a town of rats.
