Panama

　Central America lies between North America and South America. It connects these two continents¹, but Central America itself is not a continent. It is actually part of North America.

　Panama² is in the southernmost part of Central America. It joins Central America to South America. It touches both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. It is the only place in the world that you can see the sunrise on the Caribbean Sea and the sunset on the Pacific Sea from the same spot on the same day.

　There are about 4.1 million people living in Panama. The main language of Panama is Spanish. However, English is  widely understood in most places.

　“Muy bien” means very good or very well, “mucho gusto” means nice to meet you, and “denada” means you’re welcome. Try and say these phrases yourself!
