Knock at the Cabin

　Knock at the Cabin is based on Paul Tremblay’s 2018 novel The Cabin at the End of the World(《世界尽头的小木屋》). The story takes place during a vacation in a mote(偏僻的) cabin in the woods when a family is taken hostage(绑架) by three strangers. But we don’t know in which direction this scary story will lead. 

　The movie is directed by M. Night Shyamalan, who is known for the “Shyamalan twists” in his movies. He shot to fame with his 1999 movie The Sixth Sense(《第六感》), famous for its dramatic twist(戏剧性转折). But he’s found it hard to find the same level of movie magic since, according to the Collider website. Another one of his most famous movies, however, was the 2016 horror film Split(《分裂》). This was followed by the 2019 sequel Glass(《玻璃先生》). Both starred Jams McAvoy as a terrifying murderer(杀人犯) with multiple personality disorder(多重人格障碍).
