Snow Leopards and Friends

　Snow Leopards(雪豹) and Friends is known as the first Chinese factual film about snow leopards. Directed by Xi Zhinong, a famous wildlife photographer, this documentary mainly talks about how several photographers follow the trail(轨迹) of snow leopards and finally become protectors of them.

　With an even smaller population than giant pandas, snow leopards mainly live in high-altitude(高海拔的), snow-covered areas. In 1971, the first photo of a wild snow leopard was taken and drew increasing scientific research interest. Considered the “King of Snow Mountains”, about 60% of the world’s snow leopards can be found in China. However, there is only a very small chance of watching these amazing creatures in the wild.

　Many movie viewers have been touched by the power and strength of life shown in the film. In their opinion, the documentary succeeds in catching the most authentic(真实的) and the wildest forces of nature. It also leads to people’s deep thinking about wildlife and protection of nature.
