Change things for the better
We live in a world where criticizing1 people seems to be all right. It all begins within yourself, and you may want to change things for the better. If you can’t change your environment, you can at least change your own ways.
Do good work.
Helping other people can give you warm feelings inside. You know you’ve done something good and that you made another person happy. Making a difference in someone’s life can make a difference in your own.
Who cares what other people think?
It’s very difficult to turn off others’ thoughts. The best thing to do is to not care. Who cares? If someone thinks badly of you, that’s his problem. Just move on!
Learn to love yourself.
If you don’t love yourself, try to find out why. Then try to find a solution to that reason. Can it be fixed2? If not, can you find someone who can help, perhaps a teacher or a friend? Make room in your heart for yourself. You’re the only “you”.
