Moonlight is spread over the capital,

万户捣衣声。

The sound of pounding clothes far and near

秋风吹不尽，

Is brought by autumn wind which can’t blow all

总是玉关情。

The longings away for far-off frontier.

何日平胡虏，

When can we vanquish the barbarian foe

良人罢远征。

So that our men no longer into battle go?
