　   prefer作动词，意为“较喜欢，更喜欢”，多指在两个或两个以上的选项中优先选择其中的一项，相当于like...better。如：

　　I prefer milk in the morning.

　　我早晨喜欢喝牛奶。

　　prefer sb. to do sth.意为“宁愿某人做某事”。如：

　　Would you prefer me to stay?

　　你愿意我留下来吗？

　　prefer A to B意为“与B相比更喜欢A”。如：

　　I prefer Chinese to English.

　　我喜欢汉语，远胜过英语。

　　She prefers comedy movies to horror movies.

　　她更喜欢看喜剧电影而不是恐怖电影。

　　prefer doing sth. to doing sth.意为“相比较做某事来说更喜欢做某事，宁愿做某事”。如：

　　I prefer walking to riding a bike.

　　我宁愿走路而不愿骑自行车。

　　prefer doing/to do sth.意为“更喜欢做某事”。如：

　　I prefer spending/to spend the weekend at home.

　　我更喜欢周末待在家里。

　　prefer to do sth. rather than do sth.意为“宁愿做某事而不愿做某事”。如：

　　I prefer to play football with friends rather than stay at home alone.

      我宁愿去和朋友踢足球而不愿自己待在家里。
