Within the Palace

寂寂花时闭院门，
The palace gate is closed, even flowers feel lonely;
美人相并立琼轩。
Fair maidens side by side in shade of arbour stand.
含情欲说宫中事，
They will complain of their lonesome palace life,
鹦鹉前头不敢言。
Only afraid the parrot might tell a tale secondhand.
