【同中求异】tell, speak, say, talk

       tell作及物动词，意为“讲述；告诉”。tell后常跟双宾语，即tell sb. sth.或tell sth. to sb.，意为“告诉某人某事”。如：
　　Can you tell your parents the good news?
　　=Can you tell the good news to your parents?
　　你能把这个好消息告诉你父母吗？
　　tell sb. to do sth.意为“告诉某人做某事”，其否定形式是tell sb. not to do sth.，意为“告诉某人不要做某事”。如：
　　Tell Tom not to be late for school again.
　　告诉汤姆上学不要再迟到了。
　　speak用作及物动词，意为“说（某种语
言）”，其后常跟表示语言的名词作宾语。如：
　　Can you speak English?
　　你会说英文吗？
　　speak还可用作不及物动词，意为“说话”， 不强调说话的内容，通常指说话的能力或方式；还可意为“演讲，发言”。如：
　　The baby can speak now.
　　这个婴儿现在会说话了。
　　Who will speak at the meeting?
　　谁将在会上发言？
　　say作及物动词，意为“说”，强调“说”的内容，后面跟所要说的内容。如：
　　He said (that) he wanted to go.
　　他说他想去。
　　I often say “hello” to my friends.
　　我经常向我的好朋友们问好。
　　talk作不及物动词，意为“说话，交谈”。表示与某人说话时，应在其后加介词to或with；表示谈论某事物应在其后加介词about。如：
　　Let my father talk to him.
　　让我爸爸和他谈谈。
　　They are talking about the new book.
　　他们正在讨论那本新书。
　　I often talk with my parents about my school life.
　　我经常和我的父母讨论我的学校生活。
