The ant and the dove

　One hot day, an ant was searching for some water. She came to the bank of a river. While drinking the water, the ant suddenly slipped¹ and fell into the water.

　Thankfully, a kind dove saw the struggling² ant. The dove quickly dropped a leaf into the water near the ant. The ant moved towards the leaf and climbed up onto it. The dove then carefully pulled the leaf out of the river. The ant was safe at last.

　Just at that time, a hunter nearby was about to throw his net over the dove, hoping to trap³ it.

　The ant quickly bit him on the heel. The hunter felt the pain and dropped his net. The dove was quick to fly away to safety.

　From then on, the ant and the dove became good friends! Every good deed we do for others will come back to us.
