Lady White and Lady Yellow

　In a green field, two flowers grew side by side. One was called Lady Yellow and the other was called Lady White.

　One day, a gardener walked by. “I need a flower for my garden,” he said. Lady White replied that she was pleased to be there with her sister. However, Lady Yellow said, “Take me! I am too beautiful to stay in this ugly field. I should be in a garden.”

　The gardener took Lady Yellow and replanted her. She soon forgot all about her sister. Lady White was very sad and lonely without Lady Yellow.

　One day, the servant of a queen was walking by. He saw Lady White and was amazed at how beautiful she looked all alone in the green field. “You are so lovely. I must take you to my queen! ” he said.

　Soon, she was at the palace. “She is perfect,” said the queen when she saw her. Everybody agreed. Artists came to paint her. Her picture was on the queen’s clothes and walls. What about Lady Yellow? Well, the gardener brought more flowers to the garden, each one was bigger and more beautiful than Lady Yellow. Soon, he forget her because she was hidden¹ among the other flowers.
