point out，point at和point to

      point out意为“指明；指出”，为“动词+副词”型短语，其后跟名词、代词或that从句作宾语。名词作其宾语时，放在副词out的前后均可。人称代词作其宾语时，应放在副词out的前面。如：

　　Could you please point out the hotel (point the hotel out) on this map?

　　你能在这张地图上指出这家旅馆吗？

　　Here are the mistakes in your homework. Let me point them out.

　　这是你作业中的一些错误。让我把它们指出来。　　

　　point at意为“指着”，习惯上表示指向离说话人较近的人或物，at强调指的对象。如：

　　Don’t point at others with your chopsticks while having dinner.

　　吃饭时不要拿你的筷子指着别人。

　　The teacher is pointing at the map and saying, “Here is Beijing”.

　　老师指着地图说：“这是北京。”　

　　point to意为“指向”，多用来表示指向离说话人较远的人或物，to强调指的方向。如：

　　Let’s stop to have a rest. Look! The hands of the clock point to twelve.

　　让我们停下来休息一下吧。看！钟表的指针指向12点了。
