Greenland
Greenland is a large Arctic1 island. It covers an area of 2,166,086 km2. It is the largest island in the world, and it is a part of Denmark.
Most of Greenland is covered with ice and snow all year round2. That makes the island really cold.
Only about 50,000 people live on the island. Most of them are Inuit and Scandinavians.
They live in the south. It is warmer than other places on the island.
