across，past和over

　　across意为“穿，穿过”，指从表面横过，即从某个表面的一边到另一边，常与road、street、bridge、river等连用。across from...意为“在……对面”，相当于on the other side of...。如：
　　The boys swim across the river.
　　男孩子们游到河对岸。
　　You must go across the bridge and then turn right. 
　　你必须先过桥，然后再往右拐。
　　The bank is across from/on the other side of our school.
　　银行在我们学校对面。
　　past意为“经过；路过”，指从某物旁边经过，常与walk、run、go等连用。如：
　　They run past a big supermarket.
　　他们跑步路过一个大超市。
　　I love your place. I walk past it all the time. 
　　我喜欢你们这里。我总是从这里经过。
　　I saw a man go past. 
　　我看见有一个男子走过。
　　over意为“通过；越过”，指从某物上方“通过、越过、跨越”，与物体表面不接触。如：
　　The light hangs over the desk.
　　灯在书桌上方。
　　The plane flies over the house.
　　飞机从房子上方飞过。
　　Jane held the umbrella over her head.
　　简把伞举在头上。
