【同中求异】“尽管”不相同

       一、although和 though的相同点
　　1. 二者都可作从属连词，引导让步状语从句，意为“虽然；尽管”。如：
　　Although/Though my grandmother is old, she looks very strong and healthy.
　  虽然我的奶奶老了，但她看上去很健壮。
　　2. 二者用作连词时不能和but，however连用，但可以和yet，still 等连用。如：
　　Although/Though Zhou Feng is poor, yet he lives happily.=Zhou Feng is poor, but he lives happily. 
　　周峰虽然穷，但他过得很幸福。
　　Jane still went on working, although/though it was late.
　　虽然很晚了，但简还继续工作。
　　二、although和 though的不同点
　　1. 两者都意为“虽然，尽管”，并可换用，但although语气较重，多用于书面语，通常放在句首并用于正式场合。如：
　　Although it was raining, it was not very cold.
　　虽然下着雨，但并不很冷。
　　2. 用though 时，可将强调的词前置，用于部分倒装句式中（注意：倒装后若句首是名词，名词之前不用冠词）。如：
　　Alone though she lives, she is happy.
　　虽然她独自生活，但过得很幸福。
　　Child though he was, he did quite well.
　　他虽然是个孩子，但做得很好。
　　3. although只用作连词，而though 除作连词外，还可用作副词，意为“可是，不过”，常置于句末，句子较长时，也可置于句中。如：
　　I don’t have a computer. I’d like to have one, though.
　　我没有电脑。不过我想拥有一台。
　　He did reply, though not immediately. 
　　他确实回复了，不过不是立刻回复。
　　4. 在even though（即使），as though （好像；仿佛）等固定短语中，不能使用although代替though。如：
　　She wouldn’t change it, even though she knew it was wrong.
　　尽管她知道这错了，她也不肯改变。
　　You look as though you slept badly.
　　你好像没睡好觉。
