Three years before man first landed on the moon in 1969, a US TV show looked deep into the universe(宇宙).
This show was Star Trek. It has 12 TV shows and 13 movies. One of its latest series, Star Trek: Picard (《星际迷航:皮卡德》), is now showing its third and final season.
Made by US writer Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek was special. Most sci-fi(科幻片) looked at the bad things humans may do in the future. But Star Trek looks at the good things humans could achieve(达成) if we worked together. The United Starship Enterprise(“联邦星舰进取号”) traveled through time and space. They also fought in space and tried to create a bright future.
In the Picard series, British actor Sir Patrick Stewart plays the leading role(主角) Captain
Jean-Luc Picard. Picard is serious(严肃的) and sometimes mean(刻薄的). But he always cares about his team as if they were his family. In the new series, Picard starts his last journey(旅程) into the unknown. Also, the 82-year-old actor says goodbye to the role and show that made him famous.
